On Monday 25th November Mrs Liz Wilson received the SSAFA Honorary Lifetime Membership Certificate for her 11 years service to servicemen, veterans and their families across Newton Aycliffe and local areas.
Liz and Brian Wilson retired from SSAFA in September this year having completed a combined total of 37 years as volunteers with the organisation. The presentation took place at the Quarterly Meeting held in the George & Dragon Heighington and was attended by friends and colleagues. Although Brian and Liz are no longer active caseworkers for the charity, they will continue as ambassadors and fundraisers for SSAFA.
While we wish them a long and peaceful retirement, we know that they will continue to be at the forefront of charitable activities across Newton Aycliffe for many years to come.
