Nine skaters represented Spectrum Roller Skating Club at Red Rose Festival 20th/21st November 2021 and achieved an amazing 20 medals!
Roller Skating Clubs from Bolton, Bury, Cambridge, Cardiff, Ely, North Wales, Cannock, Leicester, Wigan, Middlesbrough and County Durham competed in the event held at Smithills School, Bolton.
Spectrum Skaters took part in solo, duo, quartet and team events with every skater winning one or more awards! The club was also awarded a trophy for their club show performance titled, ‘We will remember them’ – a routine inspired by remembrance day.
Awards achieved:
Liam Stevens – novice dance, novice free, novice freedance, couples freedance, club show.
Karis Errington – newcomer dance, newcomer sequence, club show.
Ella Hutchinson – novice dance, newcomer freedance, newcomer routine, couples freedance, club show.
Lucy Owen – novice freedance, quartet, club show.
Jazzmyn Loring – elementary freedance, elementary free, quartet, club show
Keavey Errington – newcomer dance, newcomer sequence, club show.
Hannah Godwin – quartet, club show
Nicola Stevens – inter-bronze/bronze dance, quartet, club show.
Jo Loring – club show.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the club throughout lockdown. We are very proud of every skaters achievements and look forward to future events in 2022!
Spectrum RSC is based at Sunnydale Leisure Centre in Shildon and trains skaters from beginners to international level. The next intake for beginners is January 2022. If you are interested in learning to skate there are classes for all ages and abilities including adults. Register now to avoid disappointment.
