Following on from their recent success performing School of Rock and Grease, Woodham Academy are delighted to be launching their Performing Arts Academy next year. This will be open to all students within the school and will give them the opportunity to take part in sessions for stage and set design, sound and lighting, instrumental skills and drama.
These sessions will be open to students who wish to experience what it is like to work as part of the back stage crew for the various performances that happen in the school throughout the year. Students will be taught how to successfully use the light and sound desk in order to create suitable mood and atmosphere for each scene within a show. Students will also get the opportunity to visit theatres in the area to gain an insight in to how they work on a larger scale.
