Sketch Walk

Thursday 23rd September
A longer walk was planned and that is what we got, we met at Heighington, then across the field and over the stile, to a pre scouted destination. The team sketched the remains of a lightning struck tree, swaying with the high wind it looked like we would see its final day.
When moving on we faced a dust storm caused by tractors on the lane, rather than turning back a farmer offered an alternative route. A vote (revolt) opted for this and we eventually ended up at the outskirts of Shildon. Then returning on the old Redworth Road to Heighington, the next walk should be less of an adventure.
