Lisa Firbank and Kay Taylor, coaches for the Caprice Roller Skating Club based at Shildon Sunnydale Leisure Centre retained their title with their Duo dance when the club completed at the Tyne Tees National Skating Competition at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on 11th and 12th July.
They were also placed 2nd with their Trio dance (The Magpies) with Andrea Vasey on the first time they had competed together in this event.  Andrea was placed 1st with John Parlour for the Mature Couples Dance.   Leah Toms was placed 1st with her partner in the Pairs Event but also placed 2nd in the Combined Event, and 2nd in the Couples, dancing with Curtis Taylor.
Aysha Toms and Harvey Taylor performed brilliantly in their first couples dance in a competition with Cameron Dunn and Bradley Dunn and received their first bronze medal when the Club won 3rd place for their Club Show, ‘All That Jazz’.
Anyone interested in joining the club, all ages welcome, come along to Shildon Sunnydale Leisure Centre on a Saturday afternoon at 2.30 pm.
