Western Area Community Centre, Silverdale House, are restarting their activities after the fantastic refurbishment of the Centre by Livin.

Newton Aycliffe Junior Neighbourhood Watch are part of the steering group to organise the smooth running of the centre along with other groups. The Junior Neighbourhood Watch will hold a Tiny Tots group on a Tuesday and Friday from 9.30am until 1.00pm; a Children’s Disco on a Friday from 5pm until 8pm; young peoples games and activities on a Saturday morning and litter picking on a Sunday starting at 11.00am.

Our group for older people ‘New Pathways Together’ will start again when we will welcome older people, especially local residents, dropping in for a cup of tea etc. We do have a licence for bingo but this will have to be clarified/verified with DCC and Livin.

Williamfield Residents Association will restart with their monthly meeting and for the people who cannot attend during the day an evening session will be held.

On Saturday 31st August there will be an Open Day.

During the holidays The Junior Neighbourhood Watch will be organising several coach trips and Livin will be funding a Coach Trip.

Other groups will be also be holding activities at Silverdale House.
