After 7 months as artists in residence in “The Shed” at Greenfield Arts, three of our Shed Heads are showing their work in an exhibition in The Greenfield Gallery, which opened last week.
Anna Cole, Vicky Holbrough and Nicola Golightly have been experimenting with creative digital equipment Greenfield Arts has in “The Shed” since May 2014. This  includes sublimation printing, large format, digital embroidery and experiments with Greenfield Community College’s laser cutter. The equipment and the space has supported and enhanced their current practice as artists, examples of which will be show in this new exhibition.
The show includes cyanotype prints, digital embroidery, sculpture, digital prints and photography, paper quilts and video, capturing and showcasing the artists’ time in The Shed this year. As the three artists are have different focuses to their practice, their work covers a range of subjects and media, creating an interesting and stimulating exhibition.
Greenfield Arts are pleased to be able to support local artists and creative practitioners, and this exhibition is a fantastic example of the success of this support. The exhibition is open Monday to Thursday, 10am – 9pm, and Fridays 10am to 4pm until Thursday 18th December 2014.
