Greenfield was proud to host a visit from colleagues from the French Education Ministry. The visitors were Deputy Director of Education Services Mme Tanzi and international co-ordinator M Simmonds.
Our visitors had a tour of the school and observed Mrs A. Dixon teaching a dance class. The students will be part of an exchange of students planned this month to coincide with the Olympic Flame in Newton Aycliffe.
The visitors were impressed and are looking to place a French teacher in Greenfield for the next academic year. They have also asked Mr Priestley to meet with Headteachers in France to share his approaches to education through video conferencing. Mr Priestley said “We always value the new insights we get from hosting visitors it helps us to constantly improve what we do”.
This is not the only international link around educational excellence that Greenfield is involved in. Mrs Thompson will be traveling to South Korea later this month to spend time contributing to their Education Ministries drive to improve approaches to the teaching of science.
