The 45th Sedgefield Mediaeval Fayre will be held on Saturday 16th May 2015 . Escafeld Mediaeval Knights will do combat and there will be a host of family entertainment on the village green as well as entertainment and static displays in Ceddesfeld Hall grounds.

The event will start at 10 a.m. with a parade of children’s tableaus led by the Flower Queen and her attendants in a delightful horse drawn carriage.

This family event has a full programme of entertainment including – prizes for the best fancy dress, dancing by Durham Rams Morris, and Sedgefield County Junior School., side shows and stalls as well as demonstrations and entertainment in the arena.

There will be stiff competition this year in the Tug of War as the junior teams really get the crowds roaring. A fun fair with the usual rides and infuriating games to test your skill and patience and a wide variety of stalls selling crafts, food and bric-a-brac add to the atmosphere.

Ceddesfeld Hall and park will host Punch and Judy shows, various displays including ACLE Living History and Birds of Prey together with various children’s entertainment. Morning coffees, delicious home made lunches and an all day bar provided by CAMRA Club past ‘Best Regional Winner’, all at very competitive prices, are available in the Hall.

Proceeds from the Fayre will go towards the upkeep of Ceddesfeld Hall a Grade II listed former Rectory and home of the Community Association.
