Sedgefield 75 had 16 swimmers competing in a total of sixty events. They were Louis Shaw, Mathew Wimbury, James Hodgson, Ehtan Craig, George Wilkinson, Emma Price, Chloe Harding, Leah Smith, Eleanor Birch, Zoe Hodgson, Lucy Heron, Nell Heslop, Pippa Sanderson, Kate Tolley, Kathryn Lee& Sophie Wilkinson.
This was the first competition following the summer break and most of the swimmers returned new best times. As always our friends from Darlington made a huge success of the gala and without doubt this was a contributing factor in the excellent results achieved by all those competing.
The clubs medal tally was 14 Gold, 4 Silver,  5 Bronze.
Matthew Wimbury took Gold in the 50 FS. Silver in the50 Breast stroke and Bronze in the 100 FS. Louis Shaw gained Bronze in the 50 Fly
James Hodgson won Gold in the 100 Back. George Wilkinson took silver in the 100 Breast.
Ethan Craig gained Bronze in the 50 Back. Leah Smith won Gold Medals in the 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 FS and the 50 Back. She took the silver in the 100 Fly
Chloe Harding gained Bronze in the 50 FS, the 50 Fly and the 100 Back.   Kathryn Lee won Bronze in the 100 Fly. Kate Tolley took the silver in the 100 Back
Emma Price took part in eight events 50 Breast, 100 F, 50 Back, 100 Individual Medley, 100 Breast, 100 Back, 50 Fly. 50 FS,  She took the gold medal in every event winning them all by a significant margin. Emma is nine years old and is one of the youngest swimmers in A Squad. John Moore stated at the end of the gala that this was the most stunning performance he had ever seen with an athlete so young. It was a fair reflection of the work put into training over the last six months.
Niall Coulthard represented Woodham Academy in the Regional Bi-athalon held at Hexham on Sunday 8th October. He was placed 1st in the event and this will qualify him to compete in the National Championships next year. Congratulations to him from every one in the club
Elisabeth Yaneske travelled to Harrogate to compete in the North Eastern Regional Masters Championships. She won gold medals in both the 400 and 200 FS and came fourth in the 50 FS
