On Friday 17th June, children and staff from Vane Road Primary took part in their very own “Race for Life” in aid of Cancer Research UK. They were cheered on by the enthusiastic mascot Flames, the Schools Sport Partnership torch. It was a fun event for a very worthwhile cause and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience whilst raising money for charity.
To complement the event, 14 members of staff had also taken part in a 5K colour obstacle run just the previous week. Many thanks should go to Teaching Assistant, Mrs Beaton, for successfully organising and coordinating these two events.
