Greenfield Community College and Sunnydale Campus, is proud to have nominated Kieran Wilkinson, a student in year 10 attending the school, for the ‘Schools Physicist of the Year’ celebration. The event will include engaging demonstrations and interactive activities, and will be held at Durham University on 16th June 2015. It will celebrate the talent of exceptional school students and highlight the excitement and opportunities of studying physics.
Kieran was nominated for his love and enthusiasm of science as well as his continued progress and excellent attitude to learning. He often impresses teachers with his extensive knowledge and keen enthusiasm for physics. He is keen to share his findings and hopes to advance in this field.
The event is sponsored by the Ogden trust and guest speaker, Prof Carlos Frenk, Ogden Professor of Fundamental Physics and winner of the Royal Astronomical Society Gold Medal, will be presenting the awards. Nominated students will receive a certificate, prize and the opportunity to apply for Ogden Scholarships. Good luck to Keiran from all of us at Greenfield!
