Last Friday, 6th December, Mr. Foster, the caretaker from St. Mary’s Primary, had his hair shaved off in assembly for Breast Cancer funds.
His wife was diagnosed two years ago, but sadly, after she was given the ‘all clear’, it re-occurred. Their two sons, Adrian and Steven, had already shaved off their hair.
They set up a website, with a target to raise £1000; so far it has reached £1500 so a new target of £2000 has been set. The children sold cakes left over from the school Christmas Fair after the assembly.
Mrs. Foster wanted to help raise funds after seeing how many people were diagnosed with breast cancer. She became determined to help cancer sufferers and advised that if you have breast cancer, don’t be afraid. If you feel like something is wrong, go to the doctors straightaway.
Mr Foster commented..”We will be happy with any donations you give and the website will remain open until 31st of December  at www.justgiving.com/Adrian.Foster/4
