Sunday 13th June saw a lovey group of people come together and set off on a sponsored walk from Newton Aycliffe to Ferryhill in aid of NASSL, ‘Save our Sanctuary Appeal’.
They were all in fine spirits and, despite the very hot weather, were determined to complete the walk, and they did just that.
As they crossed the finish line they were greeted with cheers, cold drinks and a picnic tea. Over £1,000 was raised from sponsorship – what a fantastic achievement by those who took part.
