Father Christmas will be welcoming visitors to his festive yurt for two weekends in the lead up to Christmas.

Hardwick Park is once again inviting children to meet Santa Claus as he makes his pre-Christmas visit to County Durham.

As well as receiving a gift from Santa, children will be able to explore the park as part of a Christmas themed park trail, get crafty with festive activities and settle into story time.

Louise Porter, parks and countryside education officer, said: “It is an exciting time of year for little ones and meeting Santa is a real treat. His cosy yurt in the park is the perfect place to feel festive and makes an extra special day out for the whole family.”

Thirty-minute slots are available on the 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd December and cost £10.50 per child.
