We are happy to announce the 2nd meeting of the new Wildlife Explorers group here in Newton Aycliffe.

This will once again be indoors at the Eco-Centre at Moore Lane on Sunday 25th from 2-3.30.

This month’s topic will be learning about what food our garden birds need to survive the winter, and how to make it for them (so come prepared to get messy).

We had a great day last month at our opening meeting with several new members taking part in the group meeting where they tried, with varying degrees of success, to make witches hats and decorated bats. This success was down to the hard work put in by the leaders and helpers, both leading up to, and on the day.

We have received a considerable amount of enquiries from the public since the meeting, showing an interest. So we hope to see some new faces in addition to the great kids who came last time.

Refreshments will be laid on. We will be charging a token £1 per child towards the costs.
