Road resurfacing work is to be carried out at Newton Aycliffe and Spennymoor.
Durham County Council is to undertake resurfacing at Newton Aycliffe Industrial Estate and on the A688 at Spennymoor, with the work starting next week.
The work at Newton Aycliffe will take place from Sunday 2 April until Friday 7 April.
Resurfacing will be carried out at the southern part of the St Andrews Way and Millennium Way roundabout with three way traffic lights in place, on Sunday 2 April, Monday 3 April and Friday 7 April.
The project will also see the section of St Andrews Way north of the roundabout closed from Tuesday 4 April until Thursday 6 April.
Two way traffic lights will be in place during the closure between Millennium Way and St Andrews Way.
A diversion route will be in place from North of the closure on St Andrews Way, left along the B6444, down Long Tens Way and along Millennium Place back towards the roundabout, and vice versa.
The work at Spennymoor will see the westbound A688 closed between its junctions with Weardale Street roundabout and the Gas Works roundabout, from Friday 7 April for seven days.
A diversion will be in place from Weardale Street roundabout south westerly via the B6288 then northerly on the C152 to the Gas Works roundabout to the western side of the closure.
John Reed, the council’s head of technical services, said: “This work is part of our ongoing programme to maintain the road network across the county, for the benefit of all users.
“We are doing all we can to minimise disruption and we thank motorists in advance for their patience while the work is carried out.”
