Dear Editor, May I respond to the lady whose access to her home was obstructed. I am amazed she did not call the police regarding the issue, as it is wilful obstruction without doubt, If it was on your land you could have had it removed and bill the culprit, and if it was on the highway the police would have to come and find out whose vehicle it was through the DVLA records, and it could have been removed. It would then cost him or her a lot of money to recover it, and this is to deter them from doing it again. I have suffered this on several occasions, and it still happens, however, if you go to the police with your photo, they would issue the driver with a warning. If she had the car reg number, take it to the police and ask them to speak to the culprit, but do get a reply on the incident for future obstructions, keeping a record of them all. A word of warning – it is an offence to interfere with someone’s vehicle ie; leaving notices on the windscreen. These drivers have no concept of their actions, as it is plain for them to see they are blocking entrance to a drive or garage. George Thompson
