The Year 11 students at Greenfield Community College, Sunnydale Campus, displayed their dedication to GCSE English by attending a two-day intensive revision session. Yes, Easter was placed on hold as the students took their English Literature revision to the next level.

The two days included memory tests and even an Eminemstyle rap off using quotations from the set texts and set poems – 8 Mile has nothing on the ability of these students! Additionally, students tested their vocabulary knowledge in relation to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde through a game of bingo with a quick winner shouting “HOUSE”. Who said revision wasn’t fun?

Alongside more engaging activities, the students did complete exam style responses and the success of the two days was clear, a student claimed: “So glad I came to this, my revision at home isn’t as structured and I’ve definitely improved in certain areas.” To complete the two days, the students were rewarded with Dominoes pizzas for lunch, bacon sandwiches for breakfast and a trip to see Fast and Furious 8. Revision has found a new meaning.
