“Thanks to the Newton News and its readers we’ve had a very good response to our Christmas Day appeal. For most of us Christmas brings up happy memories of time spent with friends and family. However, for many, it also represents a sad and lonely time. With your help the Helping Hands ministry and members of Life Church are committed to changing that this year. We believe that no person should be on their own on Christmas Day unless they want to be.”
“If you are going to be alone on Christmas Day or even if you are a single parent who finds this time of the year daunting because of financial problems then we’d love to here from you by phoning or texting 07936431262.  You can even e-mail lifeline.action@googlemail.com and we will get back in touch with you.  We offer a friendly confidential service.”
“It really is going to be a remarkable day so please don’t miss out if you’d like an invitation.  It’s going to be like one big family party with lots of friendship, fun and laughter, and one or two surprises. Are you able to support our Christmas dinner for those who are alone or maybe can’t afford Christmas? Join the Helping Hands drive to make Christmas a better time for all.  We still urgently need money to make it all happen, for transport so we can people to and from the venue, for musicians that are happy to play a few Christmas Carols, and people to generally help on the day.  Please call us now on 07936 431262.”
