On Wednesday 16th December 2015, some students from Woodham Academy had the opportunity to visit Teesside University for the day.
It was organised by the North East Raising Aspirations group who are working with all of the universities in the North East of England: Teesside, Sunderland, Northumbria, Newcastle and Durham, to raise awareness of opportunities and support that university can offer to all students.
The students had a choice from different workshops including art, animation, media and textiles and mixed with students from other schools in the North East .A superb lunch was provided in the Student Union which was enjoyed by all.
The students, and staff, thoroughly enjoyed the experience, learned new skills and made new friends. It was a great opportunity for the students to visit a university and hopefully inspire them to work hard, maximise their potential and go onto university in the future.
