Dear Sir,
Disappointing to see our new Aycliffe North, Tory councillor, Paul Howell standing for MP in Houghton last week. We have 2 questions for him.
Q1. Why did he not tell Aycliffe North voters on his leaflet he was at the same time a candidate to be MP in Sunderland?
Q2. He knocked out two great loyal local councillors, and we guess if elected in Sunderland he would be resigning as our councillor. Can we now trust him to stay as an Aycliffe North councillor? Or will he spend the next four years chasing more By-elections, Darlington Council or others, trying to get out of Newton Aycliffe?
Not a good start.
