Students had the opportunity to question the region’s Police and Crime Commissioner  Ron Hogg during a visit to Woodham Burn Primary School on Wednesday 2nd March and answered a range of questions put to him during their school assembly.
Karen Robinson, Learning Mentor and Parent Support Advisor commented how proud the teachers were of the interest and enthusiasm shown by the children and of the range of questions asked, from policing issues to the PCC’s favourite football team.
Ron said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The children were very enthusiastic and asked lots of interesting questions. A group of children stayed back after school so they could ask more questions.
“The whole school was very welcoming and the behaviour of the pupils during assembly was impeccable.”
Following the assembly, Ron met with staff, parents and governors to answer any questions about policing and find out more about the school, its ethos and its role in the community.
