The children could not believe who visited their Breakfast Club – Pudsey Bear! Pudsey is the mascot who fronts the BBC Children in Need appeal.

The visit was organised by Debbie McLean Woodham Burn breakfast club co-ordinator and Greggs, Newton Aycliffe.

Debbie said “We are delighted that we were lucky to get a visit from Pudsey Bear with thanks to Greggs Newton Aycliffe, the children loved every minute of the visit and lots of high-fives, handshakes and cuddles were the order of the day”.

The school sold Pudsey and Blush hair bands with ears to help raise funds towards the BBC Children in Need appeal, staff dressed up.

Mrs Edwards, Head Teacher said “We are thrilled to have such a special visitor for the children in breakfast club that starts each morning at 8.20am, Debbie McLean has worked very hard pulling this together and many thanks to Greggs for the opportunity”.

All of the children at breakfast club had a photo taken with Pudsey and then a group photo. The school loves visitors to school and this one was a special visit, fun was had by all.
