As well as record breaking results across the board at Greenfield this year, there were some outstanding individual student achieve-ments. 9 students achieved 8 or more A/A* grades each with Gregorz Glowacki and Shannon Hamilton both achieving 10 while David Taylor and Emily Roberts celebrated an incredible 11 GCSEs each at the highest grades.
David and Gregorz both gained A* in Ancient History, having achieved A* for History while they were in year 10, a remarkable achievement. Our student leadership team showed that it is possible to combine academic success with wider school involvement, with Jess Hall and Aidan Dolby – the Chair and Vice-Chair of the team gaining 18 A*- C grades between them including 10 A/ A* grades.
With over 70% achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths, 75% gaining C+ in Maths, 79% in English and 94% achieving 5 high grades this truly is a remarkable set of results for all students putting us above the national average on all these measures.
More importantly, on the government key measure for students making 3 levels of progress in English and Maths we have made dramatic improvements.  71% of students made 3 or more levels of progress in Maths and 84% in English where 52% of them made more than 4 levels of progress and all achieved in a year when standards have fallen nationally.
We are proud of every student leaving us in 2013 and wish them well for the future.
