Lee Weldon and his family moved to Newton Aycliffe in 1969 when he was just 7 years old and he has lived on the town ever since.
He joined Newton Aycliffe Cricket Club towards the end of 1987 and started playing for them in 1988 and immediately volunteered to take on the off-field roles of both Treasurer and Fixtures Secretary.
Two years later Lee also took on the job of Club Secretary and has just completed his 30th consecutive year with the club and still is Club Secretary.
This year Lee was very honoured to take over the role of Cricket Club President. Congratulations on such long service to the club.
