Pond Dipping has long been one of the most popular public events in Aycliffe and so Great Aycliffe Town Council have organised this activity which will take place at Byerley Park Local Nature Reserve.
The ponds here are a little hidden gem that team with life, during our last public event here last summer there was an abundance of dragonfly nymph’s, water beetles and tadpoles but the star prize went to a huge water scorpion.
Come along on Sunday 12th April at 10am – 11.30am to see what we can find this time during this free activity, we will be meeting at the ponds on site which are visible from the Middridge Road. Please bring your nets, buckets and wellies if you have them.
