I am writing about pollution in the Burn and bringing this issue to your readers attention.
The pollution of the Burn is happening on a regular basis and this filthy foam can be found near Burn Way bridge and has been recurring over the last few months.
It seems to be happening most days and the water is so filthy. I have contacted Great Aycliffe Town Council and they informed me that there had been a problem, which they thought was resolved – clearly not!
I would encourage anyone who is concerned to contact our MP, the County Council, Environment Agency, River Watch and Northumbria Water so this matter can be dealt with once and for all.
Obviously we need to be aware and observant to stop these people from polluting our area.
