The Police, Crime and Victims’ Plan 20162021 consultation has been launched. It was considered by the Police and Crime Panel earlier this week, and will be out for public consultation for the next two months, before finalisation by November. During this period we will be looking to hear from as many people as possible across the area, including through attending community events and Area Action Partnerships. We will also be looking to discuss the plan in detail with partners, and it will be on the agenda for meetings of both the Safe Durham Partnership and the Darlington Community Safety Partnership in September. The plan continues Ron’s theme of “Putting Victims First” which he set out when he took the oath of office in May. The three strategic aims are to: • Inspire confidence in the police and criminal justice system • Support victims and the vulnerable • Tackle crime and keep our communities safe The full draft plan and online survey is available at: http:// www.surveygizmo. com/s3/2909219/PoliceCrime-and-VictimsPlan-2016
