Trustees and volunteers are preparing to support families whose personal circumstances make life tricky in the long 6 week holiday. Health issues? Disabilities? Work and childcare costs? Whatever the main reason for food insecurity or isolation, many parents and children struggle to make ends meet or to join in with others to have fun in the summer.
Key Workers supporting families may wish to discuss referrals for food support and / or some social activities. Play Café is a family friendly Food Bank, addressing issues of hunger and social isolation. Thanks must go to our many sponsors and donors for their continuing generosity and to the seven County Councillors who funded the project initially, through the GAMP.
