Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) has been chosen to be part of the Tesco Bags of Help; a local community grant scheme where the money raised by the sale of carrier bags is being used to fund local projects. There are three projects in the running – the project with the highest number of votes will receive £4,000, second place will receive £2,000, and third place will receive £1,000.

PCP is raising funds for ‘Together 21’, this project supports the learning and development of children with Down’s syndrome and aims to help with speech, language, movement and motor skills as well as life skills whilst raising awareness and tackling stigma and discrimination. Together 21 provides vital peer support for parents and carers and sessions are interactive and accessible but most of all fun!

Voting boxes are available to shoppers in Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland and Darlington stores. There’s only 2 weeks left – the vote will close March 1st 2018. Use your Tesco blue chips wisely and please vote for the Pioneering Care Centre every time you visit the store.
