On Saturday 14th July Pioneering Care Partnership held a Summer Family Fun Day event with tons of fun activities.
The turnout for the event exceeded expectations and everyone had a huge amount of fun, including the staff! The sun was shining and the PCP garden was thriving with different activities including face painting, penalty shootout, a basket-ball shoot, hook-a-duck and a huge play bus! Inside the centre there was an animal petting zoo, a tombola and sales of books and plants.
Small donations were made to aid the fundraising campaign of PCP’s Hydrotherapy pool; as there are plans to refurbish, modernise and provide essential improvements. Overall, those small donations have added up to over £470, an astonishing amount!
Carol Gaskarth, PCP Chief Executive said, “An event of this scale was made possible through match funding received from Great Aycliffe Town Council as part of the Aycliffe Festival. We were delighted that the event attracted over 600 people and feedback on the day was overwhelmingly positive. We had guest appearances from Star Wars characters who proved a real hit with people of all ages!”
