Middridge Parish Council has lost two of its longest serving Members. John and Anne Clarke, who have been Councillors since the Parish Council was first formed in 1983, decided not to stand for re-election, so they can enjoy a well-earned retirement.

Anne Clarke is currently the Chair of the Parish Council. Last year Her Majesty the Queen recognised their 34 years of service to the community when they attended one of Her regular Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace.

They are being replaced by local residents Helen Alexander and Sue Smith, who have been elected to serve on the new Council in an Uncontested Election”.

Please note that it is planned to make a Presentation of an appropriate Memorial Gift at the Chair’s Dinner to be organised after a new Chair of the Parish Council has been elected when the Parish Council meets on 15th May. I will inform you regarding details of this once these have been finalised.
