Durham County Council’s customer access points and most council buildings will be closed over the Christmas and New Year holidays.  They will close at 12.45pm on Christmas Eve and re-open on Thursday, 2 January.

Leisure centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and will close at 4.00pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Libraries will be closed over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Those facilities normally open on Tuesday (Christmas Eve) will close at 12.45pm with normal opening hours resuming from 2 January.
Adult day centres will be closed on Bank Holidays but open as normal on all other days.

Some household waste collections are also set to change:
Tuesday  collection as normal on 24th and 31st December
Wednesday collection will be    Friday 27th December and Thursday 2nd January 2014
Thursday collection will be on Saturday 28th Decemberand Friday 3rd January 2014.
Friday collections will be on    Monday 30th December and Saturday 4th January 2014.
