Dear Sir,
My name is Lizzie Lovejoy, I have been a resident of Newton Aycliffe for most of my life (other than three years at university in Hartlepool). I have been the Artist in Residence at Durham Sixth Form Centre for the past year and on 12th November they will be hosting my exhibition. Due to the lockdown, this will now be virtual with an online video tour and website with all of the work on the Residency website.
This exhibition is themed around the North East, the buildings, people and stories I’ve learned while researching over the past year. I wanted to celebrate the North, the place I’ve grown up and the place I’ve loved. Most of the people I’ve interviewed live in Newton Aycliffe.
As Newton Aycliffe is a growing area for arts and creativity I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to inform your readers of the exhibition and I am really proud to represent my home town.
