Dear Sir,
Reference Eldon Whins issues:
The S.B.C. Local Plan a valid, legitimate document states that Eldon Whins developments is within Newton Aycliffe. (Policy H1, Page 86).
It is “part of the planned development of the TOWN, near to shops, schools and community facilities”. Policy H2, Page 87.
Policy H7, Page 92, states, “Eldon Whins is adjacent to existing houses and the Cobbler’s Hall area. THE DEVELOPMENT IS WELL INTEGRATED INTO THE URBAN FORM OF THE TOWN, contained by woodland belts.
THE GAP BETWEEN THE TOWN AND MIDDRIDGE VILLAGE WILL BE MAINTAINED.”
Developing Eldon Whins as part of Newton Aycliffe was delayed until 75% of Cobbler’s Hall developments were built.
As to the S.B.C Local Plan, until the new D.C.C. Plan is ratified, it is an important relevant document. And D.C.C.as the inheritor of S.B.C.’s assets, and duties under the Local Plan, own Eldon Whins.
And implementation of its Policies, I believe, including, “Improvements to Middridge Lane (C35), proposed under Policy T8”, SBC Local Plan, (Page 118). “Increasingly important as the housing developments at Cobbler’s Hall takes place (Page 119).
