Dear Sir,
I am fed up of hearing people complain about grasscutting in wet conditions.
My husband works on these machines and do you really think he likes being out in the rain getting soaked to the skin and no chance of a change of clothes?
He also gets stuck in the mud and someone has to pull the machine out!
They do as they are told and grass has to be cut on an 8 day cycle and if it is not people complain to the council and the men are in the firing line.
There are eight men to cover Newton Aycliffe which also includes planting and people’s back gardens.
I hope not to hear any more moaning aboth grasscutting.
L.J.J.
Editor: I don’t believe anyone blames the workmen who do as directed even though they spoil the area they are cutting. The fault obviously lies with management who sit at their desks ignoring the conditions and complaints.
