The Scout Centre is hosting a Northern Soul Night on Saturday the 15th of April at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3 and will be available on the door. Your host is a popular local DJ who is well known for his Soul nights. We treat our floor with ‘Sliperine’ to give you a good dancing surface so we would appreciate it if you could not use talc – it’s a nightmare to clean of! Northern Soul will be a regular event at the Scout Centre dates will be published on our Facebook page shortly.
Our AGM is on Wednesday 19th April at 7pm – all current members are welcome. If any member would like to join the committee to help run the Association please see the notice board at our Social club – names and nominees required. Please note that this is a demanding role and you will be expected to partake in the everyday running of the club- everything from un-blocking the toilet to organising an event and everything in between.
Saturday May 20th sees the return of Andrew Sokell as ELVIS, in his fantastic Tribute Act. Andrew is becoming very popular with the local pubs and clubs and always puts on a good show. This is a family show with tickets at £3 for adults and £2 for children – no toddlers please. We hope to see you at our events. All the profits are used to run and maintain the Scout Centre which is used by up to 100 young people each week for their scouting/brownie meetings.
