A leading North East hotel is rolling out the red carpet with a late summer wedding fayre and a special offer for bridal couples.
The Holiday Inn Darlington A1 Scotch Corner, at the junction of the A1 and A66 near Darlington, will showcase the results of its £3m refurbishment at the event on Sunday September 9 and offer a 10 per cent discount on the day to anyone who books the hotel for their wedding reception.
Visitors to the free event will have the chance to view the hotel’s primary function room, the Richmond Suite, which can cater for up to 200 guests for a formal, seated wedding breakfast and up to 300 for a drinks reception or buffet.
The 91-bedroom hotel, owned by North East-based The Cairn Group, also has a number of smaller rooms, ideal for more intimate wedding receptions and occasions such as private dinner parties.
During the afternoon, businesses from across the region will be displaying everything from wedding favours to cakes and flowers, as well as a wide variety of bridal gowns and accessories.
Handmade stationary and table decorations will be on display and companies providing stylish limousines and vintage cars will be on hand with advice and suggestions.
