Newton Aycliffe Foodbank is based at St. Clare’s Church in the Church Hall and is open on Wednesday and Friday afternoons between 1.30 and 3.30pm.
We are able to help people with emergency food via a referral voucher system. Vouchers can be obtained from a number of places including your local GP, schools, social worker/team and Citizens Advice. Please checkout https://durham.foodbank.org.uk in the first instance.
The kettle is always on, with snacks available, so whether you’d like to enquire about accessing our services or would just like a hot drink and chat, we are here.
Thank you to everyone who has ever donated to us, it makes a huge difference.
If you would like to make a donation, tinned meat, UHT milk, packet mashed potatoes, as well as any tinned food, is most welcome. We collect from the Tesco basket twice a week and we are always grateful for carrier bags. These are best dropped off at the foodbank please.
Follow us on our Facebook page ‘Aycliffe Foodbank and Drop In’ for the most up to date information, but we will be giving regular updates through Newton News going forward.
Once again, thank you to the fabulous community here in Newton Aycliffe for the amazing support we receive from you.
