Newton Aycliffe Fire Station – ‘We’re Making Some Changes’

County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service are hosting a ‘drop in’ event at Newton Aycliffe Fire Station on the 24^th September 2012, from 1pm until 7pm.

The event is an opportunity for people to attend the fire station, and discuss with Service managers and operational personnel the changes that are being introduced as part of our Service Transformation programme. The changes include the introduction of a new crewing system that maintains the same level of emergency cover at a reduced cost. There will be no change in the number of fire appliances at Newton Aycliffe, nor to how quickly we respond to emergency incidents.  Further information on the changes taking place at the fire station are included in the attached document.

Car parking at the Fire Station is limited, however, there are large car parks within a short walking distance.
