Art and photo enthusiast, James D Robinson of Bewick Crescent, Newton Aycliffe, (who recently featured in this paper as the creator of a time capsule) has now released his latest book: The Poster Designs of James D Robinson, a 56 page volume showcasing 50 original works, mainly in colour. The book is now available to buy via e-bay, whilst a few copies can also be purchased locally, 1) at Allsorts, the Newton Aycliffe charity shop to the right of St Clare’s Church Hall, and open for business on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 10am till 1pm, (with all sales at Allsorts going to charity), and 2) at Aycliffe Framers & Engravers, in the town centre, open daily from 9am bar Sundays.

As a man of many interests, Mr Robinson has a number of published magazine articles to his credit, along with 6 previously self published books,  (including The Authenticated Meteoric Falls of the British Isles ) as well as a non commercial booklet of illustrations featuring his favourite recording artist : viz : the Norwegian singer/ songwriter : Aurora. His photowork is represented in the permanent photo collections of both the UK’s National Portrait Gallery, and The picture Library of the Royal Society, and he is a member of the Royal Photographic Society.
