A County Durham hotel has enlisted one of the region’s most respected sales and marketing managers.
Sarah Barber has joined the team at Ramside Estates as Group Sales and Marketing Manager, where she will be responsible for growing revenue across all areas of the company’s hotels.
In a career spanning more than 20 years Sarah has held senior sales roles at some of the hotel industry’s leading brands, including Marriot, Swallow and Hilton and was also business development manager at Seaham Hall and Serenity Spa.
Formerly sales and marketing director at Northumberland’s Matfen Hall Hotel, Sarah joins Ramside from Corus and Laura Ashley Hotels, where she managed and developed national agency and corporate accounts.
Her new role will see Sarah looking after sales for Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa and its sister hotels, Hardwick Hall and Bowburn along with The Impeccable Pig restaurant with rooms at Sedgefield.
“There is no doubt at all that Ramside Estates is one of the North East hotel sector’s biggest success stories,” she said.
“The properties are all unique in their own way and have amazing offerings for leisure and business visitors.
“Its corporate, residential and leisure facilities are second to none – in fact its spa is widely recognised as one of the finest in the country – yet the business is still very much a family concern.
Ramside Hall Hotel is part of the Ramside Estates portfolio of properties, which also includes Hardwick Hall Hotel at Sedgefield, Bowburn Hall and Newcastle city centre bar Colonel Porter’s.
Welcoming Sarah, John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates, said: “I am confident she will be an asset to the business as we continue to drive it forward.
“Sarah is one of the North East hotel industry’s most respected figures and she brings a wealth of experience allied to a genuine commitment to achieving the highest possible standards in a very competitive sector.”
