As a new Premier League season starts, the Official Newton Aycliffe Branch of the Sunderland Supporters Association would like to say a huge thank you to the officials who have retired after successfully transporting fans to matches all over the country for the last 21 years.
Chairman, George Mills; Treasurer, Ian Palmer; and Secretary Stan Hall have all taken the decision to step down after many years of service to the branch and the community.  Branch members thanked them for their hard work with presentations of engraved silver hip flasks.  They will be a huge act to follow.
Son of the outgoing chairman, Phillip Mills, has become the new Treasurer, meaning that their family have been proudly represented on the branch committee from the very start.  Terry Fawell, another founder member of the branch, has become the new Chairman, whilst Paul Newby is the incoming Secretary.
The branch-run coaches to all home matches, and transports members to many away games too. Home coaches have pick up points at Greenfield School, the Royal British Legion Club, Ferryhill, and Thinford, and will return members to various points around the town close to home.
Any enquiries about travel or membership can be directed to Paul Newby on 01325 311001, 07799 447389 or safcnab@gmail.com
