A recently founded, non-profit organisation has launched its first, funded learning group at Newton Aycliffe Youth & Community Centre.
Running on a Saturday morning, from 10.30-12 children are welcome to come along with their homework and reading books to access support with their learning.
All sessions are hosted by qualified and experienced teacher Sam and teaching assistant Emma, but that is the only similarity with school; the sessions are informal and fun, and we encourage the children to work together and help each other. It also means your child gets their homework done without any of the stresses this can often bring, meaning you free up your valuable family time.
One parent told us “Alice loved her first session and is looking forward to attending more” and another reported “George thought it was GREAT!”
Learning a New Way CIC aims to provide quality tuition and meaningful wellbeing experiences to the local community, for those who would otherwise not be able to access it. These sessions will run up until the Summer Holidays initially.
Anyone can come along, there are no age restrictions nor eligibility criteria. You can email sam@learninganewway.co.uk for more information and find us on Facebook to keep up to date!
