New Friends New Places invite you to join them on their trips to many interesting places.
Our first trip on Wednesday 11th September, departs at 8.30am to Scarborough, followed by Sunday 15th September, departing at 9.30am to Redcar Thrift Market. If you do not want to go to the market, drop off and pick up in Redcar.
Sunday 29th September, departing 8.30am to Bamburgh and Seahouses and you can take a trip to the Farne Islands.
On Saturday 5th October, departing at 9.30am, a trip to Northallerton and Thirsk – note this is a Saturday.
As we have received some funding from GAMP – All trips will cost just £5.

Our Group New Friends, New Places was started in 2008 and has met every week since with an average of 45/50 people – we now have had some gentlemen join us.
For your first visit we can pick you up because we all know how daunting it can be to walk into a room full of strangers. Our motto is “Come as Strangers and Leave as Friends”.
These trips are for everyone to come and meet people, have a great day out and perhaps encourage you to come and join us at the Navy Club every Tuesday from 1.30pm until 4pm. Alongside Armchair Aerobics and Line Dancing we also have a singer on separate weeks, Bingo and a Quiz are also enjoyed by a lot of our members.
Once or twice a month at Planet Leisure a group of members, led by Judith Richardson, go Ten Pin Bowling, this is usually on a Thursday morning and Judy invites you to join them. The no. 5 bus from the town centre to Darlington stops very close.
Once a month the New Friends, New Places Luncheon Group meet and have a meal and general friendly meeting at the Bay Horse in Middridge, the no. 5 bus to Bishop Auckland drops off practically at the door.
