The Salvation Army Trading Company opened a charity shop, at 31 Beveridge Way on Thursday 10th December. It was marked with a special opening celebration including a ribbon-cutting ceremony and refreshments.
Volunteers have been preparing for the opening for weeks to ensure that all the best bargains go on sale on opening day. We regret the announcement came at very short notice so Newton News readers would be unaware of the opening day except for those who visit our website.
Profits from the shop will contribute to The Salvation Army’s work with people who are vulnerable and in need across the UK, including homelessness and addiction services, care for older people, help at emergency incidents, support for adult victims of human trafficking.
