Hi there, it’s PCSO Steven Kipling with your weekly Neighbourhood Policing update. Last Wednesday a local youth was arrested for a number of offences including theft of a motor vehicle & breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order. They were remanded and put before the Magistrates Court the following day.
On Friday, PC Welch ran a session with some local youths around Relationships & Domestic Violence as part of a project being ran by Police and partner agencies.
This Tuesday, officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team attended Woodham Burn Primary School to deliver our carousel training to Years 5 & 6. This training included talks on Internet Safety, Anti-Social Behaviour, Bullying & Crime and Consequences. The children were engaging and took a lot from the day, and also got to meet Jet & Ben at the end of the day for a treat. This has been part of our long-term commitment to reduce youth related issues in the town, and we have one Primary School left to complete the training with.
As the weather should be improving and people get out and about on their pedal & motor cycles more, please remember to keep them safe and secure, as best you can.
Lastly, if you haven’t already and have a spare two minutes, please sign up to Keep in the Know where you can receive regular alerts from the team here on what’s happening around the town, such as crime updates and road closures. It’s completely free and you can sign up by visiting www.keepintheknow.co.uk/content/pages/sign-up.
Thanks, have a great week.
