Like many clubs Newton Aycliffe FC is asking its local community for support this summer. Unfortunately, we haven’t played since our season was cancelled in mid-March. However, we are working hard to come back stronger whenever it is decided that football can return safely. Before the lockdown we were able, thanks to a marvellous grant from GAMP, to complete the surfacing of the footpath leading to the ground. We are now looking to improve the pitch drainage and surface. This should both minimise postponements and also enhance the quality of the football.
The club also plans to install a turnstile in the ground in place of the existing “pay hut”.
While the club was well on its way to hit our target to fund these plans the early end to the season meant that we weren’t able to complete our fundraising. So, we would like to ask our fantastic supporters for their help to make up the shortfall. All donations will go to help us maintain and improve the ground.
