U8 Whites v Brandon United.

Aycliffe played really well as a team with good energy showing great movement and passing. William and Harry were solid in defence, Oscar was strong up front and Ossie was full of energy all over the pitch. Ellis, the keeper, was outstanding in goal with some incredible goal line clearances. Goals came from Harry who scored from the half way line and Oscar, from a brilliant assist from William.

All in all a really good team performance, deservedly MOTM was awarded to Ellis for his heroics in goal.

U9 Blacks were back in action last Saturday against Hilda Park FC. There was some hard football and, consequently, Aycliffe went behind, but kept battling and deservedly came back strong. The keeper, Jake, made some great saves with the defence battling well for every ball. Aycliffe’s attacking play was excellent with all goals coming from Max. This was an excellent debut for Charlie and he was deservedly awarded MOTM.

The Under 9s Whites played against league champions Pass Soccer Blacks. Unfortunately lockdown looked like it took its toll and Aycliffe did not get going. There were some glimpses in the game of what Aycliffe are capable of, but in the end the opposition were just too strong. Aycliffe still showed great character, they never gave up and will move onto the next game with a smile on their face.

MOTM went to Tyler for his constant battling,

U9 Juniors were away to Boro Rangers United. A great competitive game throughout with both teams playing really well, despite the month long lay off. First half had some great goal line scrambles with a few near misses. Aycliffe went in behind with their goal coming from some great individual play from Jack. Second half, Aycliffe pulled level with a brilliantly worked free kick, Jack laying the ball off to Jonah at the edge of the box, who finished it beautifully. A close game for the rest, but a couple of mistakes caused Aycliffe to concede again. MOTM went to Marley who had a brilliant game, some great touches with lovely footwork and never stopped running.
